Pd-m at Medilink Midlands Innovation Day 2025

We had a fantastic day at Medilink Midlands Innovation Day 2025, connecting with innovators, entrepreneurs, and healthcare leaders from across the healthtech, life sciences, and medical device community. The event provided an excellent platform to exchange ideas, discuss shared challenges, and explore new opportunities for collaboration.

A key highlight of the day was our Sustainability Lead, Rich Shaw, co-hosting the workshop “Supplying to the NHS” alongside Tim Robinson (Health Innovation East Midlands) and Jaivir Pall (OHP Primary Care Accelerator). Together, they offered practical insights into what it takes for innovators and SMEs to become NHS-ready by understanding procurement processes, avoiding common pitfalls and aligning with NHS priorities.

Rich also emphasised how sustainability should form a central part of business strategy, not only to meet environmental targets but to deliver measurable value through carbon reduction, cost savings, and resilient design. His session reinforced that embedding sustainability into product development strengthens both commercial performance and long-term impact.

Throughout the day, Rich Shaw and Andrew Davidson had engaging conversations at our stand about the role of design in shaping the future of healthcare innovation. It was encouraging to see the growing recognition that sustainable design can accelerate adoption, support compliance, and create more efficient, circular solutions.

At Pd-m, we continue to work with organisations across healthcare and life sciences to design, develop, and deliver purposeful products, balancing user needs, sustainability, and commercial success from the very beginning.

Thank you to Medilink Midlands for organising such an insightful and well-attended event. It was a pleasure to reconnect with familiar faces, meet new collaborators, and see so much enthusiasm for making innovation in healthcare more sustainable and accessible.

If you’re looking to bring new ideas to life, scale innovation, or embed sustainability into your products, we’d love to continue the conversation.
