Anxiety Wearable

Prototype to production in eight weeks

Myndtime

Client: Myndtime is a non-tech-based wearable designed to support people living with anxiety, autism, ADHD by offering a gentle way to restore balance and focus. Pd-m were approached by the founder of Myndtime to provide manufacturing support for their first-generation product and to help bring it to market.

Approach: Our team developed the original Myndtime wearable design to refine ergonomic fit and texture spacing to offer greater tactile interest for wearers. The team also developed a second variant, a narrower band designed to be worn on the same wrist as a watch or other jewellery.

Challenges: During design development, it was critical to ensure that the textures and poppers would function consistently throughout the product’s lifetime. To support this, a new tougher material was selected for both new designs to improve durability and comfort whilst also ensuring reliable movement of the poppers. The team created prototypes in house to define weak points in the fastening mechanism of the band, to ensure greater longevity of the product.

Deliverables: Our design sprint work had developed the initial Myndtime wearable from a first-generation product through to a solution ready to be scaled for entering the e-commerce market. Pd-m worked with compression mould suppliers to produce batches of the product direct to the client ready for shipping and distribution.

Impact: Rapid design to manufacture phase yielding a reliable supply chain and creating the confidence the company needed for a product launch.

I came to Pd-m with an early prototype, looking for advice on manufacturing options. Their team were incredibly informative, helping me refine the design and evolve the prototype into a far stronger version. Their patience, guidance, and depth of knowledge were refreshing.
I genuinely felt listened to and supported throughout.
